About Us
Greetings! We are Brian and Libby Vaught, owners of Foothills GSP. We live in the Foothills of the Ozark Mountains, about 12 miles north of Clarksville, Arkansas. We strive to provide individuals and families with quality, healthy German Shorthaired Pointers, suitable for their lifestyle.
After 37 years with the same company, Brian retired several years ago to live a life of adventure, raising GSPs and hunting. Brian runs the day to day physical operations as far as feeding, cleaning, exercising, bathing, delivering puppies, and maintenance. Brian has been breeding, raising and hunting with dogs most of his life.
Libby, a former law enforcement officer, is the agriculture teacher at our local high school. She teaches Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Outdoor Adventures, and Natural Resources/Ecology. Libby is also an adjunct instructor at University of the Ozarks, teaching Principles and Practices of Sustainable Agriculture and Agroecology. Libby is the recipient of the 2022 National Educator of the Year Award from the NWTF and, is happy to answer any and all questions you have about German Shorthaired Pointers, dogs, cows, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys or anything for that matter. Libby runs the health/paperwork/all other duties as assigned part of the operation.
Together, Brian and Libby have 2 sons, Zach and Daniel. Zach and his beautiful family live in Longview, TX. Daniel is a student and 3 sport athlete at University of the Ozarks.

We encourage you to reach out to a trainer or, work with the pup yourself!
